Full Monty - A Fully Personalised Wedding Ceremony & Registration at your venue
A fully-personalised, tailor-made wedding ceremony with all the bells and whistles
Wow your guests & rock your wedding with a fully personalised ceremony with all the bells and whistles at a venue of your choice, complete with legal registration with the department of home affairs. For couples who want the most out of their special day.
We will work with you, within our legal boundaries, to make your ceremony as individual and memorable as you are. You get to be hands on in the creation of your ceremony. We offer several types of ceremonies, such as: Civil, Spiritual, Religious, Non-Religious, Non-Denominational, Inter-faith, blended as well as Unity Ceremonies. Your choice is your own decision, and we will totally adhere to your wishes.
The actual delivery of the ceremony is most important, and we believe the role of an Officiant is not only to write emotional and meaningful words, but also to captivate the guests with the love story that is being told. We promise not to put your guests to sleep
Should you desire, we will creatively weave into the ceremony a sentimental, humorous, and, of course, romantic story about you as a couple and engage everyone with the charismatic way in which it is told. This personal touch makes each and every ceremony totally unique. We endeavour to draw on all the emotions, from tears to laughter as well as include any special people you may choose. The possibilities are endless!
- We verify all documents before the wedding

- Officiant conducts a fully personalised wedding ceremony (usually no more than around 20 minutes)
- We complete the Civil Union Marriage Register before hand for you to sign on the day
- We handle the Complete registration of your civil marriage/civil partnership personally at Home Affairs – you don’t have to stand in queues. Includes name change on the SA population data base where applicable.
- Your officiant will meet with you at our offices or via skype/whatsapp video as often as you like for the planning etc.
- HANIS Marital Status Verification (required for the registration of your marriage/civil union). Should you prefer not to have to go to home affairs for your HANIS verification we can handle it for you. We make use of a private verification company to obtain your HANIS on your behalf at a fee of R125 per HANIS.
- Premarital coaching with our in-house coach, Carrie Nidd. Basic Wedding Ceremony & Registration at your venue
A standard non-personalised wedding ceremony
A standard, quick, no-fuss or pomp wedding ceremony in which you get to exchange traditional vows and rings, with no personalization. Some love this approach, others hate it. Casual, relaxed, shorter than the Full Monty, but still a meaningful ceremony.
- We verify all documents before the wedding
- Officiant travels to your venue (travel costs apply.)
- Officiant conducts a bog-standard micro wedding ceremony (usually no more than 10 – 12 minutes)
- We complete the Civil Union Marriage Register beforehand – you sign immediately after the ceremony
- We handle the complete registration of your civil marriage/civil partnership personally at Home Affairs – you don’t have to stand in queues. Includes name change on the SA population data base where applicable.
- HANIS Marital Status Verification (required for the registration of your marriage/civil union). Should you prefer not to have to go to home affairs for your HANIS verification we can handle it for you. We make use of a private verification company to obtain your HANIS on your behalf at a fee of R125 per HANIS.

Maybe you want Uncle Sam or Aunt Mavis to conduct your ceremony for you because we are either not hip enough or maybe too hip for you, but you need to have the legalities taken care of. Or maybe you don’t even want a bells-and-whistles wedding. Whatever. This option includes no ceremony whatsoever – Strictly the legal paperwork only. No vows, ring exchanges etc. We will simply show up at your venue, ask you stand up in the presence of your two witnesses and any guests you might have, ask you each in turn to make the legal declaration (don’t panic – you just have to say “I do” to the question the officiant will put to you and sign the register. What could possibly be easier?

- We authenticate all relevant documents beforehand
- Officiant conducts a legal declaration with two witnesses present
- We complete the Civil Union/Marriage register before hand – you sign after the declaration
- We issue a South African Abridged Civil Union Marriage certificate on the day of your registration
- We handle full registration of your marriage personally on your behalf at Home Affairs – you don’t have to stand in queues. Includes name change on the SA population data base where applicable.

Registration Plus - Legal Registration with vows & rings
This option is for a “softer” version of a basic legal registration
THIS OPTION INCLUDES NO CEREMONY WHATSOEVER, and is perfect for couples who want to add that little extra to simply getting their marriage registered. You get the chance to exchange vows (your own or repeat-after-officiant-standard-in-sickness-and-in-health-type vows). You also get to exchange rings. We will ask you stand up in the presence of your two witnesses, ask you each in turn to make the legal declaration (don’t panic – you just have to say “I do” to the question the Officiant will put to you) exchange vows and rings, complete the paperwork and sign the Register. What could be easier?
You will be required to provide two witnesses to sign the register with you (any persons over the age of 18 in possession of a valid SA ID book or foreign passport, whichever is applicable)
This service is available at a venue of your choice, or at our Zimbali or Bloubergstrand office where we permit up to 6 guests attending.
- Officiant conducts a legal declaration
- You exchange rings and say your own personal vows or repeat traditional vows after the officiant.
- We complete the Civil Partnership/Civil Marriage register beforehand – you sign immediately after taking the legal declaration
- We register your civil partnership/civil marriage personally at Home Affairs – you don’t have to stand in queues, although you will be required to collect your marriage certificate from any home affairs office once your marriage is registered.
- Includes name change on the SA population database where applicable.

Who Can Perform a Blessing/Naming/Dedication Ceremony? Such ceremonies have no legal basis nor are they religious. Since it’s not an official event that requires someone who holds special qualifications such as a priest or vicar, anyone can perform the ceremony as long as they have the blessings of the parents. These are non-traditional multi-spiritual events that aim to be joyful and non controversial (so no one should be offended, or feel left out.)
For many folk these days the language of a traditional church christening is a tad alien and has little meaning,. That said there is still a strong desire to celebrate in a spiritual way the life of this new child or children. Blessing/Naming/Dedication ceremonies are meant to celebrate the new baby—but exactly how you do that is up to you. That’s where we come in. We conduct ceremonies for many different families: Married Couples, unmarried parents, single parents, adoptive parents, step parents, parents who are of different religions and cultures, and lesbian and gay parents who have children.
And the best part? There’s no need to buy a white gown that your kid will only wear once.
